Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker may still be in the newlywed phase of their marriage, but the adorable couple is wasting no time in starting a family.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars, who both expressed interest in having a child together even before they tied the knot, are now getting serious about their planning.

The 38-year-old former Xscape singer tells In Touch, “I want to get pregnant this year! Knock it out by 39! …  Now we’re clocking days and making an effort. We really want to start a family together.”

Kandi and Todd, who each have a daughter from a previous relationship, say that, even if it’s difficult for them to conceive, they’ll do anything to make it work.

“Todd would be down with [fertility treatments], too,” Kandi admits. “We’re even open to in vitro fertilization.”

With two girls between them, the couple says they’re hoping for a son this time around, but they may not be content with stopping there.

“Todd says that as long as we can afford ‘em, let’s keep going!” says Kandi.
