Have you picked up the most recent issue of In Touch yet? Better get on it, as the celeb weekly has all of the extravagant details and gorgeous photos from our girl Kandi Burruss’s wedding to Todd Tucker — including the fact that the Real Housewives of Atlanta couple’s nuptials were inspired by the classic Eddie Murphy film Coming to America. Yep. That’s real.
You may have already caught a glimpse of Kandi’s gown — which is totally reminiscent of the one from the 1988 movie — in all its beaded and ostrich feather-embellished splendor. And that tiara and necklace? Just the icing on the cake. But can you guess how much that stunning number set Kandi (or Bravo?) back?
Oh, just a cool $20,000. Yes, you read that right! The Reco Chapple gown was custom-made for the bride, so you know that’s not going to run you anything less than a pretty penny. Plus, just look at all of the detailing. We never thought of Kandi as an over-the-top kind of gal, but if you’re going to go big at any point, it should be your wedding day!
The Atlanta designer also created custom white gowns for the bridal party, which included celebs Tiny Harris, Fantasia Barrino, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s Rasheeda, and Kandi’s RHoA co-star Phaedra Parks. No word on how much those ones cost.
Congrats again, girl! You looked fab, so it was worth it!
