Yeezus, which officially hits stores June 18, somehow found its way onto file-sharing services earlier today, reports SPIN. Rumors about the potential leak started as early as yesterday evening.
The publicized details include the album’s tracklist, which features ten songs and collaborations with the likes of Frank Ocean and Daft Punk.
But is the leak for real, or just another part of Kanye’s plan to make the release of his sixth studio album the biggest ever?
His promotion for Yeezus has already been off the charts, including a listening party held on the docks of New York City for A-listers including Jay-Z and Beyonce as well as a controversial interview in the New York Times. His team even has Yeezus-related video projections scheduled to appear in several major cities this coming weekend. We’re talking synchronized advertisement stretching from Los Angeles to Antwerp, Dallas to Dublin.
Personally, we’re hoping the leak is just another part in Yeezy’s plot for world domination. (Our first clue was the spinning globe on Yeezy’s website.) However, if the album’s out without Kanye’s OK, the infamously sour-faced rapper has had one hell of a bad week.
