Sorry, Yeezus fans of Vancouver, BC — we have some terrible news.

While Kanye West was slated to perform his mega stage show at Rogers Arena this Halloween night, the rap star had to cancel due to a truck crash. Thankfully Kanye and his entourage are all okay, but it seems there was a major (non-human) casualty from the accident. A 60-foot LED screen that was apparently essential to ‘Ye’s “creative vision” was damaged “beyond repair,” as well as a custom-made video truss.

We have always heard performers say “the show must go on,” but Kanye’s reps are saying it’s “impossible to put on the show” without these important components of the elaborate set. Because he is not willing to “compromise on bringing the show as it was originally envisioned and designed to his fans," he is canceling the originally scheduled show at Rogers.

Three more dates — in Anaheim, Denver, and Minneapolis, will be postponed while Kanye’s team scurries to get replacement set pieces built for the rest of the tour.

We have to wonder how ‘Ye’s fans feel about this. Would they rather see him perform without a giant video screen behind him, or would they rather wait until some as-yet-unknown date to see the full spectacle?
