It’s no secret that Kanye West considers himself to be something of a genius, and he made sure that everyone knows just how smart he considers himself to be during a recent deposition.
TMZ reports that, while delivering a deposition in regards to his alleged beating of a paparazzo, Kanye went off on everything from his own intellectual prowess to the racism he faces at the hands of the media. “I'm the smartest celebrity you've ever f—king dealt with,” said Kanye. “I'm not Britney Spears."
Kanye, who stands accused of assaulting photographer Daniel Ramos during a confrontation at LAX, told the shutterbug’s lawyer, Nate Goldberg, that, while Kanye’s business was “making dope s—t,” Goldberg’s only claim to fame was “representing scums.”
While it’s long been evident that Kanye is no fan of the paparazzi, he took his rage to a new level when he compared his plight as a celebrity to that of African-Americans during the Civil Rights Movement.
“I equate it to discrimination. I equate it to inequalities,” Kanye says of the struggle of the modern celeb. “We, as group of minorities here in L.A., as celebrities, have to band together to influence guys like this -- guys trying to take the picture, guys trying to get the big win, guys trying to get the check."
