They say revenge is a dish best served cold. If that’s the case, Taylor Swift’s comes iced. It’s been almost four years since rapper Kanye West interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, but girlfriend hasn’t forgotten. Either Taylor has finally enacted her revenge and then deleted the evidence...or this is the best Photoshopped pic we’ve seen all day (which is saying something).
Kanye — who infamously took the stage during Taylor’s 2009 VMA to claim that Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” video actually deserved the win — welcomed a daughter with girlfriend Kim Kardashian on June 15. We don’t suggest Taylor babysit.
The famously demure country singer hasn’t confirmed she’s behind the social media snark, but she’s no stranger to calling out those who have wronged her (Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy, and Harry Styles to name a few previous targets).
Kanye recently dredged up the VMA burn in an interview with the New York Times. When asked if he regretted what many viewed as a rude and inappropriate move at the VMAs, the rapper referred to the incident as leading him “to complete awesomeness” and added that he doesn’t “have one regret.” We’re betting Taylor doesn’t either.
