Take a deep breath: Kanye West may not be the father of Kim Kardashian’s baby. Or at least that’s what online gossip rag Bossip’s latest story suggests.

Under the headline “Down-Low Baller Kerry Rhodes Says He Knocked Up Kimmy Cakes Because He And Yeezy Were Smashing At The Same Dayum Time!” (yep, it’s that kinda site), Bossip claims the NFL player said he could be the father of Kim’s new baby girl.

“Man this could be my baby!! I was f**king her the same time as K.West was lol!!!” Kerry allegedly texted teammates.

As if this story couldn’t get any more depressing, Fox Sports reports that if Kerry did send the text about Kim (“did” being the operative word), it might be the pro athlete’s attempt to prove he isn’t gay. Rumors about Kerry’s sexuality began earlier this year when Russell “Hollywood” Simpson claimed he and Kerry had a secret relationship. In April, Kerry flat out denied the gossip.

For the record, we hope that if Kerry is gay, he wouldn’t see it as something he needed to deny. And if he isn’t gay, we hope Kerry wouldn’t drag a mother and newborn child into what’s clearly a very emotionally complicated issue involving personal identity.

Of course, Kim’s camp isn’t lifting a finger to address what are likely blatant lies about her baby’s parentage. Granted, none of the Kardashians have been saying much since Kim gave birth on June 15.

What do you think of the rumors? Could there be some truth in the story or is this just the latest in post-delivery drama? Sound off below.
