Usually, Scott Disick and “good samaritan” are not we’d expect to see together in a sentence. But during Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the luxury-lovin' partyboy showed his soft side by paying a visit to cancer patient Josie Landsdorf. Why the sudden interest in helping others? Scott revealed that his own father is sick, and that’s given him motivation to want to help others.
This brings the question: Just who is Scott Disick’s father, anyway? Longtime fans of the Kardashian shows will remember Jeffrey Disick from Season 1, Episode 2 of Kourtney & Kim Take New York, when Kourtney and Khloe headed up to the Hamptons to let baby Mason spend some time with his grandparents.
Jeff and his wife, Bonnie, raised Scott in Eastport, Long Island, and the family inherited a substantial amount of money from Jeffrey’s father, David M. Disick. Great-grandpa Disick was a well-known attorney, businessman, and author of Fractional Vacation Homes: Marketing and Sales in Challenging Times. He also developed number of luxury resorts and properties around the world.
During the short amount of time they’ve appeared on the Kardashians' shows, grandpa Jeff and grandma Bonnie have always seemed sweet and amiable. But just as Scott has had a few less-than-stellar moments, his dad, too, appears to be a bit of a troublemaker at times.
According to a May 2012 report from Star Magazine, Jeff turned himself in to the police for allegedly stealing money from a bank. He reportedly pleaded guilty to charges of petty larceny after he was accused of stealing upwards of $3,000 from the Long Island bank.
As for why they family rarely shows up on KUWTK, a family insider told Star, “They’re [Jeffrey and Bonnie] completely removed from the Beverly Hills scene and look like fish out of water when they’re with Kris and her glamorous girls.”
Wait... there are people in this extended family who don’t want to be on reality TV? Consider us shocked.
