Kourtney and Kim Kardashian don’t have as much in common as you might expect from sisters only a year and a half apart. Well, at least not much in common when it comes to their kids.

We already know Kourt’s pregnancies with both Mason Dash and Penelope Scotland went relatively smoothly, with sister Khloe calling her an “earth mother god.” (Kourt, lest we forget, did physically pull her young into the world.)

Unfortunately, things didn’t go quite so easy for Kim. The reality star struggled with horrible swelling and an appendicitis scare during her troubled pregnancy, which ended with baby North West arriving five weeks premature!

And the differences between the two moms didn’t end with their deliveries. The biggest divergence? Publicity. Kourtney and baby daddy Scott Disick filmed both births for Keeping Up With The Kardashians and soon after released photos of their new additions (Penelope graced the cover of Us Weekly at just a month old!).

Meanwhile, Kim and boyfriend Kanye West kept TV cameras far from the delivery room and seem reluctant to even discuss Nori publically, turning down millions of dollars to keep their daughter’s photo private (for now).

Another difference: where the new generation of K-dashes will be raised. While Kourt and Scott have opted to stay near Grandma and Grandpa Jenner in southern California, rumor has it Kim wants to pack up for Paris (a plan Kourt’s reportedly not keen on). Of course that’ll only happen if Kim leaves the secret compound where her new family is supposedly living.

No matter what parenting choices Kourt and Kim make, their kids will likely be some of Hollywood’s closest cousins. That’s good news for Keeping Up With The Kardashians executive producer Ryan Seacrest; he’s almost got enough cast members for KUWTK 2033.
