Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been holed up out of the public eye since the birth of their daughter North West on June 15. They’ve been staying with Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, in her Calabasas, California mansion, because their new Bel-Air home is still being renovated. But the time has come, and Radar Online is reporting that the Kardashian-Wests are getting the heck out of dodge. What’s going on?
Naturally, it was a matter of finding—and retrofitting!— the right real estate.
“Kim and Kanye have finally settled on a temporary mansion for their family to move into. It should be ready for them to move in the next two weeks,” a source told Radar. “It’s over 8,000 square feet and offers complete privacy, which was a big concern of Kanye’s. The security system is being upgraded and Nori’s nursery is being outfitted with surveillance cameras.”
Yikes! Who needs a Nanny-cam when you’ve got high-tech security cameras in your baby’s bedroom? But those are just the tip of the security iceberg.
“When it comes to Nori’s safety, Kanye isn’t taking any chances,” the source went on. “Kim has had stalkers in the past, so nothing is being left to chance. Of course, Kim wants everything to be perfect immediately for their temporary residence, even though it’s a rental. Family pictures are being hung on the walls in the house, and Kim is talking about painting Nori’s room.”
OK, now that we can get behind! We love that Kim wants lots of family pictures, even in her temporary home. Maybe it’s her way of keeping her family close, but not too close. Apparently Kim and Kanye are “counting the days until they move out of Kris’ house,” the source added. “It was very gracious of Kris to open her house to them, but it’s time for them to be on their own.”
Don't worry Kim, we're sure Kris will come by and visit all the time! Assuming she can get past Kanye's security measures.
