If Kris Jenner wanted to give us cupcakes, we wouldn't complain — but apparently not everyone feels the same way about cupcakes that we do. Case in point: A newspaper columnist says Kris tried to "bribe" her this week to get a better review for her new talk show.
On July 17, Linda Stasi of the New York Post wrote a scathing review of Kris, the Kardashian matriarch's new chat-fest. Hours later, Linda says she received a bevy of gifts courtesy of Kris.
Kris sent Linda a dozen Magnolia cupcakes and a $325 sterling silver Tiffany pen. Bold move!
Along with the loot was a note from Kris, suggesting that Linda use the pen to write a “better review next time.”
Linda was appalled by Kris's gift and shocked that Kris didn't know that "reporters aren’t allowed to accept bribes."
Kris's new talk show debuted on July 15 in several test markets as part of a six-week mid-summer trial run. If the show lives up to ratings expectations, the plan is for it to be syndicated in 2014.
Let's hope that other critics have more favorable things to say about the show, or else Kris is going to have to stock up on fancy pens.
