It’s been a dramatic few weeks in the world of Kanye West. The new dad had a rather loud run-in with a TMZ cameraman as he was heading to an outbound flight at LAX on July 12, but it was when he got back a week later that things went really sour. A different (and notoriously pesky) paparazzo was following Kanye, asking about the rapper’s “no talking” rule, and Kanye flipped out and lunged at the guy!

It wasn’t pretty. There were rumors that Kanye was going to face felony charges in the situation, because he apparently tried to snatch the pap’s camera, which could qualify as felony attempted robbery.

But Kanye and co. can breathe a sigh of release now, because according to TMZ, Kanye won’t face charges of any kind in the situation.

“LAPD robbery detectives are investigating the photog's allegation that Kanye tried to steal his camera—but our sources say that dog won't hunt,” the site claims. “ The D.A. will NEVER charge Kanye with felony attempted robbery, because there's no proof he tried to pilfer the camera at LAX.”

Evidently, the case will first be sent to the District Attorney, who is expected to reject it. After that, the file will reportedly get sent on to the L.A. City Attorney, who will look into possible charges of misdemeanor criminal battery.  But TMZ is confident that will go nowhere.

“We're told Kanye is willing to ante up some cash to make the case go away, and it's perfectly legal,” the site concluded. “It's called a civil compromise and it's done everyday.”

It sure is, so we’re guessing this is the last we’ll hear of this nasty encounter. It’s a tough call. Kanye (and other volatile stars) definitely aren’t allowed to harm others just because they’re angry, but should people be allowed to profit by provoking rich rappers? That’s also a pretty low way to make a living.
