Kim Kardashian doesn't have a ring on her finger, but Kanye West has his own special way of letting her know he's locking it down.

Kanye, who has grown hyper-vigilant about safety since the birth of daughter North, has reportedly shelled out some serious cash for two new cars to ensure that nothing harms his new family.

According to the Daily Star, Kanye threw down $1 million to have Latvia's Dartz Motor Works create a customized Prombron Iron Diamond specialty vehicle for Kim that will stand up to anything from grenade blasts to landmines. For himself, Kanye gathered up the change in his pockets and bought a Chevy Kodiak, a $387,000 car modeled after the one President Obama rides in.

A source close to the Yeezus rapper says that he's become increasingly concerned about possible threats on his life and the life of his girlfriend and daughter, particularly because their demanding careers so often keep them apart. His solution? Keep two bodyguards on every member of the family at all times.

"Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths. He aims to leave nothing to chance," says the source. “His priority is to get delivery of the vehicles, especially Kim’s, before he begins his US tour in October.”

The insider adds, "Kanye is also acutely aware that Kim has enemies who are resentful of her reality TV success and the thought of anything happening to her or Nori, their nickname for North, is his worst nightmare.”

Do you think Kanye's being cautious or crazy?
