We wish there were better circumstances surrounding Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's first outing with baby North West. Sadly, instead of partying in Los Angeles with Aunt Kylie Jenner at her sweet 16 party, mom, dad, and baby made their public debut at a funeral.
On Saturday, August 17, Kim, Kanye, and Nori were in the Oklahoma City celebrating the life of Kanye’s grandfather, Portwood L. Williams, according to a report from E! News. Portwood, a civil rights leader who participated in Oklahoma City’s sit-ins during the 1960s, was 98 years old at the time of his passing.
Kim dressed demurely in a black dress with a lace shawl over her shoulders for the occasion. The protective new mommy kept Nori shrouded in what is probably a blanket, though it looks more like a baby burqa to us.
First things first — our sincere condolences to Kanye for the loss of his grandfather. Second — while we feel a little weird commenting on Kim’s look for such a somber occasion, we can’t help ourselves: Girl looks damn good. Motherhood is clearly agreeing with her.
