As if there weren’t already millions of people around the world trying to copy Kim Kardashian's every move, from her look to her sex tape-to-stardom path, the reality star now has to deal with the added burden of people trying to steal her identity in a much more literal sense.
RadarOnline reports that Kim and a number of other celebrities, including her mom, Kris Jenner, Beyonce, Paris Hilton, Ashton Kutcher, and Mel Gibson, were the targets of Florida-based identity thieves Luis Flores and Kyah Greene, who were arrested after allegedly attempting to steal huge sums of money from the stars.
Luis and Kyah allegedly gathered the celebs’ social security numbers when hackers made the information public earlier this year. From there, the thieves changed the addresses on the celebs’ accounts to their own and had new credit cards overnighted to them. They had reportedly already stolen $70,000 from Kris Jenner at the time of their arrest.
Other high-profile individuals on the terrible twosome’s hit list included Joe Biden, Michelle Obama, Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, and FBI director Robert Mueller.
Kyah has been released while she awaits her trial. Luis, who was previously charged with redirecting his co-workers’ direct-deposit payments into his own accounts while he was an employee at AT&T, is being held without bail.
