Lamar Odom has multiple anonymous sources — and now even his alleged mistress Polina Polonsky — claiming he has a serious drug problem.  But now, for the first time, he’s confronting his critics head-on and addressing the reports of his addiction.

Lamar, who has been spotted wandering around downtown L.A. this week after reportedly checking out of rehab, spoke with paparazzi after leaving Studio City’s Teru Sushi on Monday night, telling them point blank that he’s not struggling with substance abuse issues.

TMZ reports that, when asked by a shutterbug if he has a drug problem, Lamar laughed the question off, replying, “Nah,” telling the paparazzo that he’s confident he’ll be back on the court soon, playing for “anybody that’s a fan” with an NBA team in the upcoming season.

While his recent DUI and the countless reports detailing the severity of his addiction may tell a different story, some sources have claimed that Lamar is receiving drug treatment on an outpatient basis, so his optimism may not be entirely unfounded.

Regardless of where he is in the recovery process, Lamar reminded everyone why he’s such a crowd-pleaser, making sure his fans got the following message: “I love them.”

"Nah" isn't the most detailed answer, though, and it's one that could mean a lot of things. With all the reports rolling in that he is, in fact, on drugs, could the "nah" just be referring to the "problem" part? Or does that "nah" mean that he doesn't do drugs? It could also just be a "don't worry."

It would be no surprise if he just wanted to shoot down the question in a casual way; whether he is or isn't on all the drugs, his life is full of the drama lately. Even if we didn't learn the specifics of his impairment, a DUI is enough of a stresser. But dude can't even buy steel wool without people speculating about crackpipes!

Between that and his reported mistresses, it's no surprise to us that Lamar would choose to move the conversation topic onto his fans, and quickly. The NBA regular season starts on October 29, so assuming the Lakers let him play, maybe he's hoping the excitement of some good, old fashioned sporting events will take the public's mind off his alleged discretions.
