ORIGINAL STORY (October 23, 2013):
When Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian at San Francisco’s AT&T Stadium on October 21, it seemed as though all of their loved ones were on hand for the happy occasion. Well, almost everyone. The only person who didn’t look to get an invitation to the day’s festivities: Khloe Kardashian’s estranged husband, Lamar Odom.
However, when reporters caught up with the troubled basketball star in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, he told a different story about his absence from the San Fran fête.
“Who told you I wasn’t invited?” Lamar asked TMZ’s cameraman. “You see my wedding ring on? Of course I’m invited … I had something to do.”
When pressed for clarification regarding his whereabouts, Lamar said, “Maybe I had to do something personal.”
When asked if Khloe was OK with the fact that he was a no-show, or if she was even in touch with him at all, a frustrated Lamar responded, “Yes! I think everyone was alright [with it] … We talk like a normal family.”
As for his career prospects, Lamar’s been getting in shape and taking meetings with basketball teams in the hope of getting back on the court again soon.
“I’m healthy,” says Lamar. “I can play a basketball game, and probably play pretty well right now.”
