It looks like all of that cryptic sadness exploding onto Khloe Kardashian’s social media accounts has found a new home on the next season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, set to premiere some time in 2014.
In a trailer for the upcoming season, which aired during the December 1 Kardashian Kristmas special on E!, the family showed off plenty of their usual goofy antics, although there was an underlying tone of sadness among the reality stars.
Tensions flared between Kim Kardashian and momager Kris Jenner, whose adult daughter had clearly overstayed her welcome at Chez Jenner, Kris and Bruce finally revealed to their youngest children that their love had seen better days, and Khloe finally came clean about the toll her turbulent marriage to Lamar Odom was taking on her health and sanity.
In the revealing clip, Khloe admits, “I have to move on with my life and that means changing a lot.” She goes on to cry, wear sunglasses indoors, and do some wild stuff with her hair, so you know this isn’t the minor leagues — homegirl is dealing with some serious drama.
While Lamar had been noticeably absent from most of the previous season of the show, he’s heard on the phone to Kourtney in the clip, begging the family for forgiveness, in what seems to be a vague admission of his wrongdoing. “I would do anything to be accepted back by you guys,” he pleads. “You guys are all I’ve got.”
Does the trailer make you want to tune in for the new season? Do you think Lamar and Khloe will ever explicitly discuss his problems on-screen?
