Christmas has come and gone, so it’s time for the Kardashians to get back to doing what they do best — dodging lawsuits.

The reality stars have recently been ordered to appear in court to fight back against allegations they filed a lawsuit against ex-stepmom Ellen Kardashian to increase publicity Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the ratings for which have taken a sharp nosedive in recent months.

The Kardashians launched a suit against Ellen Kardashian, the ex-wife of Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Rob’s late father, Robert Kardashian, Sr., claiming that she had sold family property to tabloids. The suit requests that Ellen pay damages in the amount of $500,000 for the suffering that stemmed from Ellen’s alleged dirty deeds.

However, Ellen has fired back against her former stepkids’ claims, accusing them of defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and other nasty claims.

A source for says, of Ellen’s grievances with her former family, “It’s always been Ellen and her lawyers belief that they will be able to prove the the storyline was orchestrated … “Their answers at these depositions could reveal whether any of the dialogue and discussion in key Keeping Up with the Kardashians scenes were scripted and staged and whether there was a plot to smear their dad’s ex-wife.”

While it seemed, for a brief period of time, that the lawsuit might remain civil, it looks as though the claws are out and the whole family’s dirty laundry is about to be aired.

In the suit, Ellen claims, “The series follows the often sordid, decadent and scandalous lives of the Kardashians,” whom she claims, “subsist on exposing their perverse private affairs to the world, including “unorthodox sexual acts, extramarital affairs, sex tapes and out of wedlock child birth.”

In a cruel twist of fate, it looks as though Ellen's lawsuit will provide the family plenty of material for their upcoming season.
