Every couple has their ups and downs, and it seems nearly every couple on Keeping Up With The Kardashians is experiencing the latter (Kimye notwithstanding). Bruce and Kris Jenner have separated, Khloe Kardashian has filed for divorce from Lamar Odom, and now it seems Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick are headed to couples counseling in the Monday, January 20, episode of the reality show’s new season.

However, that might not be such a bad thing. Plenty of couples seek counseling as a way to stop problems before they start. We could definitely see Kourtney and Scott latching on to that idea in light of recent events with their family. It’s gotta shake your foundation when a couple who has been together for more than 20 years decides to inhabit different ZIP codes.

It could be something more, though. Many recent reports have alluded to Scott’s partying growing out of control, particularly since losing both of his parents within two months of each other.

Whether Kourt and Scott are headed for the rocks or trying to maintain smooth sailing, it sounds like Scott’s up for some challenging homework from their sessions. In the January 20 episode, Scott is taking up martial arts on his counselor’s recommendation, with brother-in-law Rob as his sidekick.

Oh, and it sounds like he plans to fake it rather than go through the motions. Yeah, not a great approach to maintaining a healthy relationship, Scotty!
