UPDATE (1:00 p.m.): Kris Jenner is speaking out on rumors Bruce Jenner has not only left their Calabasas mansion but also their long-running reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. "We film together every day," she tells Entertainment Tonight, refuting the latest gossip about her husband, from whom she is currently (amicably) separated. "Bruce had a speech on the East Coast so he was gone for 24 hours," she explains, referring to a motivational speaking engagement Bruce attended at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Kris also confirms when the family will begin shooting their tenth season, assuring doubters that the entire family will be on board. "We start filming Season 10 in January, including Bruce."
ORIGINAL STORY (7:00 a.m.): Thanks to a recent laryngeal shave and some longer hair, Bruce Jenner may be drumming up more public interest than ever, but the 64-year-old star wants nothing more than to be done with the fame game for good.
TMZ reports that now that Bruce has set up a life for himself in Malibu, he’s grown increasingly disillusioned with the world of reality TV and has every intention of walking away from Keeping Up With The Kardashians as soon as possible.
Bruce, who moved into his Malibu bachelor pad over the summer, just a few months before he and wife Kris Jenner formally announced their separation, has reportedly decided that, if at all possible, he won’t be a part of the upcoming season of his family’s reality show.
While KUWTK’s lagging viewership may mean that the show’s final season may not even get a spot on E!’s reality roster, Bruce wants to bow out ASAP so he can spend his golden years perfecting his golf game, bonding with his children, and keeping those ombre highlights from getting brassy — without the constant camera intrusion.
Should Bruce stick with the show for another season, or is he making the right choice by bowing out now?
