Earlier this month, it seemed to us the Kardashians were finally reaching the end of their contentious legal battles with Ellen Pearson Kardashian, widow to their late father, Robert Kardashian. But that was a little naive of us, we’re now realizing.

Though the famous sisters have settled their case with their former stepmom, it seems there’s one matter that won’t be settled anytime soon: the legal bill. According to RadarOnline.com, Ellen is reportedly refusing to pay the more than $300,000 in legal fees she’s on the hook for, citing the balance as “unreasonable.”

Though the Kardashians are entitled to recoup their expenses since they were basically the victors of Ellen’s defamation suit, Ellen and her lawyer argue that the amount is far beyond anything she should reasonably be expected to pay, and she believes precedent may be on her side.

According to documents, she and her lawyer argue that, in similar cases, prevailing parties “are rarely granted more than $60,000,” or less than 20 percent of what the Kardashians are asking. Whether or not a judge agrees will be determined on May 5 when the court formally hears Ellen’s complaint.

Do you think Ellen should have to pay, or are the Kardashians being unreasonable?
