The Kardashian last name may come with plenty of perks — invites to A-list events, countless fans, and access to more money than anyone could possibly need — but it still doesn’t mean you’re welcome everywhere, a lesson Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are learning the hard way.
The sisters, who recently signed on to film a new Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off set in the Hamptons, are reportedly having a difficult time finding homes to rent while they’re filming in the tony waterfront locale.
In Touch reports that the sisters are being shunned by Hamptons residents, who fear that, in addition to their camera crews, Kourtney and Khloe will bring non-stop parties and pesky paparazzi to the quiet community.
A statement released by local website Hamptons.com, following the construction of a DASH pop-up boutique in East Hampton, reveals the locals’ fears regarding a potential Kardashian invasion.
“People will either decide to avoid the Kardashian store completely, which could affect the surrounding stores, or on the flip side you could have the place so completely and utterly mobbed that hopefully the businesses around it will benefit from the overflow,” reads the statement.
We’re sure Kourtney and Khloe will eventually find the perfect place to film — as long as they’ve got their checkbooks open.
Are you surprised that Kourtney and Khloe are having such a hard time finding places that will let them film?
