It always seems like celebrities — especially the ones with deep pockets — are being given the kind of free stuff that their big ol’ paychecks could easily pay for.

Case in point: the Kardashians, who have enough money between them to keep entire countries afloat, are being given free rent for their latest retail store, DASH Hamptons.

According to the NY Daily News, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, who are gearing up for their latest Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off, Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons, will have to pay exactly zero dollars to maintain their boutique Southampton, thanks to a landlord who believes the sisters’ presence can help drum up interest in her other business ventures.

Landlord Irma Herzog is reportedly giving the girls a break on their rent for the summer in exchange for a guarantee that scenes from their spin-off will be filmed in her restaurant, The Driver’s Seat.

“They didn’t want to pay the $30,000 to $60,000 rent charged at most Hamptons stores, so they agreed to shoot episodes of the show in the restaurant,” an insider revealed.

While it’s clear that some residents are hopeful about the business the reality stars will bring to the Long Island locale, plenty are wary about having the Kardashians in the area. According to multiple sources, the animosity between locals and the Kardashians is so bad that the girls still haven’t been able to find a place to live while they shoot the show.

Do you think it’s inappropriate for the Kardashians to be getting free rent for their store?
