After a week full of media criticism about his expanding figure and speculation about his mental state, Rob Kardashian is finally committed to getting his life back on track.
The 27-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who bailed on sister Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kanye West after his family reportedly began ganging up on him about his weight, is now more dedicated to dropping the extra pounds than ever, pushing himself to work out every day until he’s back to his fighting weight.
Rob’s trainer, celebrity fitness guru Gunnar Peterson, tells TMZ that Rob texted him after walking out on the wedding and made his desire to get back in the gym clear. Gunnar says that Rob had stopped giving his workouts his all just prior to the wedding, scaling back to just a few days a week, but he’s now recommitted to his fitness regimen, promising to put in at least an hour in the gym every day until he’s feeling better about his figure.
While sources have claimed that it’s not just Rob’s lack of gym time, but a combination of a poor diet, depression, and anti-anxiety medication that have helped him pack on the pounds, don’t expect him to hit the therapist’s couch anytime soon.
After discovering that he was trending on Twitter for his weight gain, Rob declared, “I don't believe in rehab or therapy or anything of that sort … My only therapy will be in the gym.”
