Brody Jenner is the latest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan to join the Keeping Up With The Kardashians cast. With his new status as a regular rather than a guest star, as he had been for past appearances on the family’s reality show, it’s a pretty safe bet that the Brodester will be getting paid for his valuable time. But how much will this “Prince of Malibu” rake in?

We asked Jo Piazza — celebrity finance expert and author of Celebrity, Inc: How Famous People Make Money — to weigh in on Brody’s earning potential. Let’s just say, if he hopes to make anything near what his step sisters do, he’s got a long way to go.

“The network will likely ease Brody in slowly salary-wise, “ Jo asserts. “Yes, he is a known reality quantity, but he has been out of the game and is now nowhere near as famous as the rest of his family.” Fair enough. But let’s talk dollars. According to Jo, Brody “definitely won't be making more than $15,000 an episode to start.” Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is estimated to make at least 40 grand for every episode she appears in.

If you ask us, that sounds like nice work if you can get it — at either side of the pay scale — but then again, we don’t live nearly as large as a Jenner or a Kardashian. Just in case you were worried that Brody won’t be able to support his lavish lifestyle on such meager earnings, don’t. He can definitely work his way up — so long as viewers respond to him and his storyline.

Judging from the first promo for the upcoming season, it sounds like Brody plans to bring the drama, with some unresolved daddy issues hurled toward patriarch Bruce.
