Heidi Montag infamously underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day back in 2010. Now, the former star of The Hills admits she might have gone overboard with her own extreme makeover.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, she said that if she could turn back the clock, she would never have had as much surgery as she did two years ago.

“I was definitely way in over my head,” said Heidi, who originally went under the knife to fix a broken nose, then opted to get additional work done. “I kind of wanted a few enhancements and then it kind of got out of hand. I wasn’t told really the repercussions and what would happen, emotionally and psychically and the pain I would be in.”

Husband Spencer Pratt wasn’t too pleased with her decision either.

“That was a big issue in our marriage,” Heidi said.

But the reality star says she doesn’t anticipate getting any future plastic surgeries. As for life in the spotlight? Heidi said she can definitely do without that, too.

“It was quite a whirlwind, and I’m happy to be out of it,” she admitted, adding that she and Spencer lost close to $1 million trying to maintain a fast-paced celebrity lifestyle.

The couple now live in a home owned by Spencer’s parents and are much more frugal with their money. Spencer himself is finishing up a political science degree at the University of Southern California.

“We’re very grounded and humbled, and money and fame and the fast life, you don’t really know how you’re going to react to it,” Heidi explained. “I certainly never thought I would become the person that I was.”
