Khloe Kardashian’s gigantic sweetheart of a husband has been an NBA baller since 1999, when he declared his eligibility for the draft after just one year at the University of Rhode Island. Lamar was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers and was named to the 2000 NBA All-Rookie First Team. Suffice to say, Lamar’s earning his own way despite being married into the Kardashian empire.

Named Sixth Man of the Year in April 2011, Lamar’s current salary with the Los Angeles Lakers is $8.6 million a year. According to The Los Angeles Times, Lamar’s $27 million contract with the Lakers is good through 2012, with an option for a fourth season (which would increase the contract’s value to $33 million). Teammate Kobe Bryant gushed about Lamar to ESPN: "He makes us a much, much stronger team.”

Prior to joining the Lakers, Lamar played for the Miami Heat from 2003 to 2009. Lamar’s contract with the Heat was for six whole seasons and a whopping $63 million dollars. Not one to rest on his laurels, Lamar’s game has steadily improved over his twelve years in the game; in 2011, he posted career highs in both three-point shooting percentage (.382) and overall field goal percentage (.530).

Lamar married Khloe in 2009 after proposing only nine days earlier. After 3 million people watched the nuptials, Lamar’s brand become an increasingly sought-after commodity: He’s starred in more than a handful of commercials, from Nike to Power Bar to Taco Bell. Lamar tells The Los Angeles Times that he enjoys his commercial action off of the court: "It's not just run with the basketball, jump with the basketball. I'm appreciative. I'll keep doing them as long as they keep coming my way and we play well. It's not a distraction or anything like that."

Lamar’s total net worth clocks in at $56 million, including his NBA salary and endorsement deals, as well as the income from his reality show with Khloe, Khloe and Lamar, which was just renewed for two more seasons.
