We thought it was a rather nice compliment, but candid rap star Kanye West is denying ever comparing rumored new girlfriend Kim Kardashian to Watch the Throne collaborator Jay-Z’s wife, R&B songstress Beyonce.
With how “Crazy In Love” Jay-Z and Beyonce are, we thought it was adorable when Us Weekly reported Kanye had called Kim his “Beyonce,” but the rapper says he would never use that turn of phrase.
Kanye tells Us Weekly of the quote: “...of course there are a lot of media inaccuracies surrounding this past couple of weeks, especially the 'She's my Beyonce' quote. I would never compare anyone to my friend's wife.” He continues: "Come on now, that doesn't even sound like me. If I don't say something in a rap or on Twitter, it's not true.”
The duo were first spotted dining at Serafina’s in NYC April 5, and Kanye later released a single, “Theraflu” (now “Way Too Cool”) declaring his feelings for the socialite (among other things).
Despite speculation KimYe's relationship might be a publicity stunt, a source close to the rapper tells Us Weekly that Kanye’s feelings for the ubiquitous reality TV starlet are the real deal. The insider says Kanye "has been genuinely head over heels for [Kim] for a while."
