It’s been a long time coming, but Kim Kardashian's divorce trial finally has a start date. The newly-pregnant reality star will get her day in court on May 6.
Kim split from her basketball player husband Kris Humphries in November 2011, after just 72 days of marriage, but the divorce has taken longer than anyone thought. In light of her pregnancy, Kim had wanted the trial to begin next month. She’ll have to wait a bit longer, though. TMZ reports that the proceedings won’t start until May.
Kim is expecting her first child with rapper boyfriend Kanye West and is reportedly worried that the drawn out divorce could have "long-term effects" on her baby.
The 32-year-old was treated for severe abdominal pains recently, after her doctor rushed to her home in the middle of the night to examine her and warned her to reduce her stress levels.
Kim's mother and manager Kris Jenner also confirmed she has been told to relax.
She said: "Kim has been going through this divorce for months. She has been under a lot of stress because of it and the doctors told her she had a really tough week and the stress could become a problem if she isn't careful."
