Kim Kardashian is no stranger to being the center of attention, but she was the unwitting target of angry protesters during a trip to the Middle East last week.

E! News reports that Kim’s promotional visit to a Millions of Milkshakes store in Bahrain on Saturday, December 1, drew nearly a hundred Shiite Muslim residents bearing anti-Kim signs. CNN cited a local paper that reported teargas was used to disperse the protesters before the reality star arrived for her appearance.

But from the looks of Kim’s Twitter feed, it’s clear she was oblivious to any negativity during her trip.

“Such a fun day in Bahrain!!” she tweeted the day of the event. A few hours later she wrote, “I’m in love with the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

Millions of Milkshakes promoter Sheeraz Hasan also quashed rumors of unrest and tweeted a video of Kim’s visit to the new Bahrain location, writing, “NEW VIDEO: WHAT PROTESTS?? Kim Kardashian loved by the people of Bahrain & wants to return!!”
