Wednesday, December 1, is World AIDS Day... and that means not a peep on Twitter from the sisters K — and other celebs who have virtually "died" — until $1 million is raised for Alicia Keys's "Keep a Child Alive" charity.

Kim Kardashian and other celebrities recently posed in coffins to promote the "Digital Death Campaign," and Kim told Access Hollywood that her family was a little taken aback by her photo.

"It was a little scary to get into a coffin, and I took some pictures and they didn't know I was doing it and I sent it to them from my phone — to the whole family — and they were like, 'What is going on!'" she said.

"I was like, 'Never send me anything like that again! That's disgusting,'" sister Khloe added. "She's like, 'It was for charity!'"

Other celebrities who have "died" for the cause include Ryan Seacrest, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, and Serena Williams.
