Apparently Kanye West doesn’t have quite as much clout with the Brooklyn Nets as he once thought he did!

The hip-hop star famously dissed Kim Kardashian’s NBA ex-hubby, Kris Humphries, in his song “Cold” (formerly titled “Theraflu”) by rapping, “I’ll admit I fell in love with Kim around the same time she had fell in love with him / Well, that’s cool, baby girl, do you thing / Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop him from the team.” The last line refers to the fact that Kanye’s pal Jay-Z happens to be a part owner of the Nets.

But now that Kris has signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the team, we’re guessing Kanye didn’t quite have his way.

“I’m up at Brooklyn!” Kris tweeted yesterday. “@S_C_ “lucky I didn’t have Jay drop me from the team! lol!”
