Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries finally (finally!) have a trial date set for their divorce proceedings to begin, but the May 6 start date still leaves plenty of time for pre-trial drama! The latest attack in this neverending hostile split comes from Kris’ family members, who think Kim should admit that their 72-day marriage was just a reality TV ratings scam!

Kris, of course, is arguing for an annulment on the grounds of fraud, and he’s getting some back-up from his aunt Dedria and uncle Mike, according to TMZ.

"[The wedding] was a sham," Dedria said.

Dedria and Mike both attended Kris and Kim’s lavish 2011 wedding, and Dedria agrees with her nephew that the whole event was just a ploy to boost ratings for Keeping Up With The Kardashians.  Not only that, she thinks it’s about time Kim owns up to it by granting Kris the annulment he wants.

"An annulment says it wasn’t valid in the first place,” she said. “She should admit that it was a sham at the very least.”

According to Mike, Kris’ isn’t taking that perceived humiliation lying down. “I believe he wants payback," he added.

If he’s right, that would explain the anti-reality TV crusade Kris has evidently been on in recent months. According to Kim’s lawyer, Kris’ legal team seems hell-bent on ruining Kim’s career, and has been focusing their energies on Kim’s show rather than her marriage, and on a mission to “expose” the scripted nature of reality TV.

While Kim (or possibly Kris Jenner?) won’t cave on the fraud claim, she certainly wants to wrap things up quickly. After all, by the time this divorce trial gets started she’ll be about seven months pregnant, and she’s made it very clear she wants Kris out of her life by the time her baby with Kanye West arrives!
