Kris Humphries may be embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with soon-to-be ex-wife Kim Kardashian and a nasty war of he-said/she-said with former fling Myla Sinanaj, but things seem to be going right in at least one aspect of the basketballer’s life.

ESPN reports that The 6’9” NBA star has just signed a two-year, $24 million contract to follow the New Jersey Nets to their new home in Brooklyn (where they will become the Brooklyn Nets). He originally joined the team during the 2009-2010 season as part of a mid-season trade.

“I am one of those few guys that played with the Nets when they moved to Newark, and I have really been a part of it the whole way,” Kris told Hollywood Life regarding his desire to follow his team to its new borough. “It would be nice to play there and it would be nice to be a part of it.”

Nothing like a big, fat paycheck to take one’s mind off a broken heart!
