Kim Kardashian and ex Kris Humphries finally have a trial date for their divorce, and according to TMZ, Kris will be there even if it means missing the NBA Playoffs!
The long-awaited divorce proceedings will start on May 6, and could reportedly take two to three days. That would be no big deal, except that Kris’ team, the Brooklyn Nets, are on track to land a spot in the playoffs, which run from April 20 through June 20.
Of course, there is no guarantee that the two events will conflict, but if they do, Kris has already made his tough decision. A source tells TMZ that if the Nets are in the playoffs and his divorce trial happens to fall on game days, Kris will choose to face Kim in court rather than his playoff opponents.
The source claims that Kris’ determination to be in court at all costs comes from his need to humiliate Kim. She has been angling for a divorce for a year and a half, but he is determined to get an annulment from her on the grounds of fraud. Also, according to Kim’s lawyer, Kris and his legal team also want to take on reality TV and prove Kim’s show is fake!
There's an in court/on the court joke to be made here somewhere, but this whole thing is getting too nuts to laugh about. Just get divorced already!
