We don’t know much about what we’re going to hear on Kris Jenner’s upcoming talk show Kris this summer, but now we know what we’re going to see! TV Guide got a sneak peek at the new talk show’s set recently, and fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians will find it very familiar—because it’s practically a replica of Kris’ own foyer.
The Art Deco entryway in Kris’ Calabasas, California home, features a double grand staircase, distinctive black-and-white checkered floor, and an over-the-top chandelier. Not exactly the setting for a cozy chit-chat, but that’s exactly what Kris was going for.
"I know other talk-show sets are intimate and conservative, but I dream big," said Kris, who helped create the set along with the show’s production designer Anton Goss. "We need energy and glamour in the afternoon."
Luckily, Kris has plenty of experience making a dramatic entrance, which is how she plans on starting every episode of her show.
"I make a grand entrance down my own staircase at least once a day only there's nobody there to enjoy it,” she exclaimed. “I'm like, 'Where is everybody?' That's why I needed a talk show!"
What do you think? Are you a fan of Kris' set, or is it a little, ahem, close to home? Kris will begin its six-week trial run on July 15, on select Fox stations across the country. Stay tuned!
