Seven months into a pregnancy that it seems the whole world has watched unfold, Kim Kardashian says that she's finally ready for childbirth.

This year has brought her a ton of media scrutiny, not just of her lifestyle and fashion choices, but also her weight gain. However, Kim seems to be blocking out all the extraneous white noise and focusing on the birth of her child.

It hasn't been easy though, with people lambasting her choice of clothing, her diet, and even how much she travels. However, in a recent interview, the star revealed that the most difficult part has been grappling with her own mind.

"Now I think I'm past all the awkward phases and stages, and once you feel the baby kick it's a whole new experience," Kim said Monday while in New York. "I finally really embrace it. I love it now, but it took a minute. It was a lot, you know, a lot of body changes and stuff."

And not only has she come to terms with the idea of actually birthing a child, but she's actually achieved a sort of perspective on the entire process.

"At the beginning that was what I feared the most, and now, I mean, it's inevitable," she said. "It's gonna happen. I'm really not worried or nervous."

Kim also acknowledged that while she and the baby's father, rapper Kanye West, know the baby's gender, they are keeping it under wraps for now.

"We buy all white," she said, laughing. "Or we'll go and buy both (girls' and boys' clothing), and then no one will know."
