If pregnant Kim Kardashian was hoping to lead the charge in setting the glove-gown trend — that is, a dress with sleeves that transition seamlessly into gloves — Tamar Braxton is here to say she hit it first. The breakout star of Braxton Family Values, who is also pregnant with her first child, was definitely the first reality star to rock this full-coverage look on the red carpet.

Appearing at the New Now Next Awards in April, Tamar sported this glittery gown with a cowl hood and um... glove-sleeves? Hand socks? Whatever you want to call them, it made quite a statement... DOT COM. At the May 6 Met Gala, Kim wore a more form-fitting, rose-patterned Givenchy dress with be-gloved sleeves.

We’re really not sure what to think of this look. Mostly it makes us feel vicariously sweaty and uncomfortable. We also can’t stop thinking about the fact that pregnant ladies need to go to the bathroom roughly every five minutes. Let’s just say this look seems to pose several logistical — and hygienic — challenges to the wearer.
