When aspiring British pop singer Rita Ora and reality star Rob Kardashian split last December, things got ugly, and fast. But Rita was afraid it was more than just an unpleasant public break-up, she thought it would ruin her career!

For those of you that have erased the nasty details from your memories (wise), here’s a quick refresher. When Rob and Rita broke up, he went on a twitter tirade and accused her of having unprotected sex with 20 men while they were dating, then Rita said she’d never been in love with him. After all this public nastiness, Rita apparently thought her career could be over.

"I don't vocalise things that don't deserve attention," the singer recently told Look Magazine. "But it was something that was so unnecessary. Why would you flood people's brains with unnecessary s**t?”

“In my world, things like that just aren't important,” she continued. “Twitter... can ruin your life. I thought I nearly had a 'ruined' moment, but no."

After Rob’s initial post-breakup Twitter rant, things got a little calmer (if still super hostile) in the world of Rob and Rita. Then Rob appeared on an episode of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami lamenting his breakup, saying he’d been in love with Rita and she made him hide their relationship.

Rita shot back by going on record to say that, for her, their relationship was never even real. This despite the fact that she insists that publicly discussing relationships is not her style.

"When you're involved with someone for a while and they decided to express their feelings to the public - that's not my personal way of therapy," she said. "But I guess everyone takes split-ups differently."

She's playing pretty nice, but Rita couldn't resist taking one pot shot at Rob before signing off. "You should have to sit an exam before you go on Twitter to see if you're mentally stable," she said.

We see what you’re saying, Rita, but really, how many people would that leave on Twitter?
