Ellen Pearson Kardashian is being sued by the Kardashians over the estate of their late father, Robert Kardashian, but she’s feeling a particular sting at being betrayed by her former stepson, Rob Kardashian.

According a 2012 interview obtained by Radar Online, Ellen remembers having a close relationship with Rob.

“He lived with us,” she explained. “I participated in his school activities. We were very close. I would take him to school in the morning, make his lunch. We always had dinner together at night when my husband traveled. It was just the two of us, so we enjoyed it.”

“I felt like a mom to him and I felt very special to him,” she continued.

That is probably why Ellen, who married Robert Kardashian two months before he passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003, was happy to pay for Rob’s college education, even though there was nothing set aside in Robert’s will to cover it.

“When there was no allocation for Robert’s college, I freely contributed the money for him to go to USC,” Ellen said in the interview. “I know Robert Sr. really wanted him to attend that school. That was one of his wishes.”

According to the report, Ellen forked over $450,000 for Rob to attend University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, from which he graduated in 2009.

We knew the Kardashian’s had expensive taste, but a half a million dollar college education? That seems crazy, even for them. Undergraduate tuition at USC is just over $21,000 a semester, which adds up to around $170,000 for eight semesters.

While that is an insanely expensive college education, it ain’t half a million dollars. Sure, there are always extra expenses when it comes to college, from room and board to books and activity fees. But $300,000 worth? Something doesn’t add up here.

Something else that doesn’t add up? Why Ellen would be paying at all. Rob started school in 2005, and we can’t imagine the Kardashian/Jenner family wasn’t able to pay his way through school on their own. Just sayin’.
