In Touch Weekly's "Complete Kardashian Diaries" could practically be described as a smear campaign against Kardashian "momager" Kris Jenner. Apparently, late husband Robert Kardashian had an ax to grind — or a hundred — as he wrote his scathing account of his flailing marriage.
Daily News has more details from Robert's diaries, which his last wife, Ellen Kardashian, sold to In Touch — pawning off the pages for a reported sum of $40,000.
Robert seems to have viewed Kris as a greedy, uncaring mother obsessed with fame and glamour — claiming, for example, that she whined he once used frequent-flier miles to get them to Europe. "She was incensed over our hotel accommodations," he writes, "and said she would never ... again ride in coach."
Her affair with Todd Waterman ratched the tension even more. Apparently Kris was a no-show for the family's Christmas in 1989, having taken a trip with Todd to Palm Springs. "I was home alone, with four kids," Robert writes.
He also expressed concern over Kris's effect on the kids, predicting that Kourtney would end up resenting Kris and observing that Rob Jr. was "very confused."
The special issue of In Touch, with excerpts from over 200 pages of the diaries he kept between March 1989 and December 1990, is available at newsstands now.
