These days, Kim Kardashian seems to spend most of her time in front of a camera. Between filming for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim & Kourtney Take Miami, and all the other Kardashian reality TV shows, there aren’t many moments in Kim’s life when a camera isn’t rolling. But is all that about to change?
The reality star is currently expecting her first child with rap star boyfriend Kanye West, and not only is she refusing to air the birth on TV, but Kim now reveals that she has no plans to have her child appear on the show at all.
"When the baby’s old enough, and... he or she decides that’s what they want to do, then that’ll be a decision," Kim told Jimmy Kimmel on January 29. But before then? Not a chance.
This decision poses a unique problem. If Kim’s baby can’t be on the show, how exactly is mom supposed to be filmed? Babies require almost 24/7 attention, especially in the first months of life.
With Kim on mommy duty, how’s she supposed to get her hair done, run DASH, jet off to New York City, or engage in any of her other normal Kardashian TV activities? It’s starting to sound like Kim might be appearing in future seasons in a much more limited capacity, or even — gasp — not at all?
No official word yet from the Kardashian camp either way, but it certainly makes us wonder. Plus, if the Kardashian shows were suddenly Kim-free, would as many people even bother to watch?
