Dancing With the Stars’ Karina Smirnoff: Whenever Corbin Bleu and I Love a Dance, the Judges Hate It

Karina Smirnoff said she and Corbin Bleu are cautiously optimistic about tonight's Dancing With the Stars Season 17, Week 9 routines. They remember how pumped they were for the Game of Thrones dance, only to feel the sting of the judges' lower scores.

"This week we have two dances," Karina wrote in her People blog. "One is a Trio round. We're doing Jazz in that round and we chose Witney from the troupe. We're so, so stoked about it. Every time we've loved a dance and gotten positive comments on Instagram, the judges have always said, 'Oh, it's not my cup of tea.' So we're afraid to get too excited, but we are definitely somewhat excited."

She said Witney knows Jazz from being in the troupe but also from So You Think You Can Dance, since she's one of the many DWTS crossovers from that show. "The three of us love our number and we're just praying the judges like it, too."

Corbin and Karina are due for some triple 10s, right? But really, as long as the fans love it, that seems to be what matters most. (Just ask Brant, Snooki and Christina… and Bill.)

Karina may have a bigger problem than the judges — her own energy level. It's Week 9 of 11 and she definitely seems to be feeling the effects of the non-stop schedule. "I've been drinking four espressos in the morning and it's not working," she wrote. "I am literally dragging myself. Mentally, I'm awake to comprehend what's going on, but physically, my body is like, I don't think so. These days, once you power through, you feel better."

Four espressos is like Bruno Tonioli level! We're surprised she's not on the ceiling, hitting people with her flailing arms.

Are you excited for Corbin and Karina’s two dances? Do you think the judges will like the routines or will they be under-appreciated?

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
