Kat Graham Dishes on Playing Jada Pinkett Smith in Tupac Biopic ‘All Eyez on Me’

All eyes are on The Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham as she takes on the Jada Pinkett Smith role in the highly anticipated Tupac biopic.

Last night on the MTV Movie & TV Awards red carpet, Kat dished about her love for Jada and how the nerves are starting to hit her.

Plus, MTV released a clip of Kat rocking it as Jada in All Eyez on Me!

Along with the rest of the world, we have been straight dying to see Kat as a young Jada Pinkett, one of Tupac’s closest friends and brief love interest. Jada and Tupac met in a Baltimore high school for the arts.

And it seems our excitement is starting to make Kat just a tiny bit nervous.

On the red carpet, she told Entertainment Tonight that she hadn’t been nervous “until today when people are like, 'Aren't you nervous?' People are like, 'Jada's gonna see this movie,' and I was like, 'Ugh, I hadn't thought about that.’”

For her part, though, Jada has already given her blessing to Kat and seems excited about the biopic.

Day 1.

Last year, Kat spilled that she had spoken with Jada, who told the younger actress she trusted her.

“It’s nice to be trusted with something as profound as that, and I just want to do her justice,” Kat said.

Even more exciting? We were blessed last night with a clip from All Eyez on Me, featuring Kat and the actor who plays Tupac, Demetrius Shipp Jr.

In the clip, Tupac reads a love letter he wrote to his BFF, Jada.

Just take a look at the clip below because Kat totally slays. We're certain Jada will be proud!

The biopic is set to release June 16, on what would have been Tupac’s 46th birthday.
