Kate Middleton’s Nursery For the Royal Baby: Everything You Need to Know

Before the birth of the royal baby boy, Kate Middleton was busy decorating the royal nursery in her own signature style. Kate and Prince William set up digs for their bambino in their new Kensington Gardens apartment (which they'll move into in the fall), and we've rounded up everything you need to know about this kiddo's swanky pad! (Note: This lucky baby also has a pad at Kate's parents' home in Bucklebury.)

1. The nursery is classic, elegant, and humble.

Kate reportedly worked with a neutral color palette, with an emphasis on — wait for it — brown! Yep, no pastels for this future HRH. Apparently, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted shopping at a high-end interiors shop in London called Bernard Thorpe, where she gravitated toward fabrics in beige.

2. The nursery is budget-friendly.

Want to copy Kate's nursery style? No problem! Word on the street is that Kate's made many budget-friendly selections for her baby's new room — though she did purchase a few pricey goodies that were just too beautiful to pass up. (See below...)

3. Kate's baby will sleep in a Moses basket.

While we're sure Kate and William have picked out a fabulous crib for their son or daughter, this little tyke will sleep in a gorgeous Moses basket during infancy, which Kate is said to have purchased at a London baby store called Blue Almonds during a shopping trip with her mother. The basket's price? Oh, just a mere $450.

4. The baby will sleep in Kate and William’s Room for the first few weeks.

The royal baby might have a nursery fit for a king, but it won't get much use in the first few weeks after Kate gives birth. “For the precious first weeks, Kate wants the baby to sleep in their room,” a source tells Us Weekly. Awww, we love how hands-on she is!
