Katy Perry might be single, but it’s not like the free time in her schedule post-John Mayer breakup is leaving her bored. Katy’s recently picked up a new hobby to keep her busy: Art collecting.
While we’ve never pictured Katy hanging out at art auctions or at galleries, we’re glad she’s found something to broaden her cultural horizons… and that she’s not letting the high profile breakup get her down.

So what can we expect Katy to choose to hang in her own house? “What I’m really drawn to is modern contemporary art and pop art, of course,” Katy said. “Also some key photography. I’ve always loved Cindy Sherman and today I got interested in Lee Friedlander… This is all brand new. I’m really interested in having an art history education.”
Katy’s got a lot more on her mind than just art, though. Next up on her massive To Do list is her world tour, which kicks off May 7 and lasts seven months.
“I’m challenging myself again, pushing my limits as I do, as a Scorpion does,” Katy shared. “I’m very excited because I believe this is my best work yet as far as live performances. It’s going to be just as colorful and fun as before, but it’s obviously not based on candy. It’s grown up. It’s more mature.”
We can’t wait to see what Katy comes up with!
