For the past few days, Katy Perry has been doing a 24/7 live stream to promote her new album Witness.

Yesterday, she sat down for a therapy session and ended up breaking down about her struggles with depression.

The live stream, which began on Thursday and will continue through to Sunday, is done in the style of popular reality show Big Brother.

The 32-year-old, along with her team, which includes her makeup artist, assistants, and pets, are living at “Witness Worldwide Headquarters,” a house made specifically for the promotional event, according to News.com.au.

Cameras follow the singer around and fans can tune in anytime on YouTube.

The singer has had various visitors and on Friday celebrity psychologist Dr. Siri Sat Nam Singh, who hosts Viceland’s The Therapist, stopped by.

Though Katy was asked at one point if she wanted to stop the live stream, she continued on, having the therapy session aired live.

During the session, she opened up about her struggles with depression.

“I wrote a song about it,” she said. “I feel ashamed that I would have those thoughts, feel that low and that depressed.

“You can be right or you can be loved. I just want to be loved.”

The “Swish Swish” singer, whose real name is Katheryn Hudson, also opened up about how she began using her alter ego “Katy Perry.”

“I’m a bit more nerdy than everybody thinks I am, I’m a big goofball,” she said. “The fantasy of Katheryn went into Katy and made this bigger than life personality.”

The star also revealed the reason she cut her hair was because she “didn’t want to look like Katy Perry anymore,” according to the Daily Mail.

“That’s the point of this whole thing,” she added. “If people can see I’m just like them then they can dream just as big.”

The session then came to an end when the therapist had Katy pick a card from his “angel bowl” to “see what the angels tell her.”

The singer pulled out the word “freedom” and burst into tears, telling the therapist, “Thank you.”
