‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star Keegan Allen’s Dating Difficulties — Exclusive
Dating can be hard — something Pretty Little Liars star Keegan Allen knows all about.
The 26-year-old actor joined Melissa Rivers and some of L.A.'s best Jewish comedians yesterday, January 20, at The Hollywood Improv, to celebrate the relaunch of JDate with a comedy showcase all about the struggles of online dating.
Wetpaint chatted with the actor to get the scoop on his dating life, why he's excited for the new JDate, and what he's looking for in a relationship!

On Online Dating
"As a Jewish single guy I was very intrigued by [the relaunch]," Keegan explained of his involvement with the event. "There's some new technology, so to speak. It's just incredible, and I think it's going to be really fun."
As for the online dating world, the life.love.beauty author admitted it can be a little challenging, given his fame.
"I don't want to sound at all arrogant, but it's tough for me to date online, because I have to go by an alias or something," he said. "And then when somebody finds out, it can turn into almost an interview itself."
That problem doesn't stop him from being excited to dive into the new JDate, though.
"I think it's a safe place for everybody to come together within the community and meet people of like minds and similar interests and morals and values rooted in their culture, which is very important to me. It's exciting, it's a little bit scary, but all new things are scary."

What He's Looking For
We also chatted with the very eligible bachelor about what he wants in a woman.
"Obviously there needs to be, first and foremost, an attraction between both parties involved," he said us. "But after that attraction, I like women who are very driven, and have passions, and follow their passions, and are great at something. That's something I definitely look for in a partner, in relationships."

On First Date Bad Moves
One thing he doesn't want? Someone who springs their entire family on him on a first date. And yes, that happened to him!
"I had a pseudo blind date, that I met online actually," Keegan explained. "I was going to meet up with her for what she said was 'drinks and a light snack.' I went to the restaurant, and she had invited and pulled together tables for her mother, her father, her three brothers, her stepsister, and then her stepsister had brought her mother — and then the grandparents came.
"I was so completely overwhelmed. I didn't even know this person, and I was thrown right into the family. It was really spooky and scary. It turned into what I like to call a 'salad date' — by the time the salad comes, I know I want to leave."
