Keegan Allen’s “Small Engine Repair” Run Extended in New York City!

We’re so proud of Pretty Little Liars star Keegan Allen! The Off Broadway production of Small Engine Repair in which he is currently starring in New York City has been extended. Way to go, Keegs!

In Small Engine Repair, Keegan plays Chad, a privileged jock who turns up at an out-of-the-way repair shop, stirring much resentment in the three former high schools buddies who frequent the establishment. The production co-stars James Badge Dale, James Ransone, and scriptwriter John Pollono, and has opened to rave reviews.

The New York Times describes the play as “raw, funny and well-tooled,” and they hail Keegan’s performance of “smoothly arrogant Chad” as “a precise portrait of 21st-century entitlement, junior class.” Not too shabby for Rosewood’s resident Boo Radley.

Previews for the play began on October 30 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in Greenwich Village, with the official opening on November 18. The production was scheduled to finish on December 8, but has been extended another week until December 15. For more info, you can visit for ticket prices.

We’re not sure what Keegan’s extended absence will mean for Toby’s future on Pretty Little Liars. Though PLL has wrapped filming, Keegan was gone from California for a good month of it. We’ve speculated how Toby’s absence might be explained in Season 4B, but we can’t help but worry that it doesn’t bode well for Spoby, whose relationship has been rocky ever since Toby allied with “A” for help in the truth about his mother’s alleged suicide. Will his continued search drive Toby away from Rosewood and Spencer? We’ll have to wait and see...

Catch the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 winter premiere, Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
